Our mission is to educate Edmontonians on the importance of shopping and eating locally - for our environment, our economy and the vibrancy of our city.

Keep Edmonton Original (KEO) is a program exclusively designed for Edmonton's independent businesses. It is a key to supporting and sustaining independent business as a fixture of our local culture and economy. The KEO program works to ensure our city's independent businesses remain a vibrant part of our uniqueness and character. We work together to jointly promote the importance of independent business by fuelling consumer interest, to increase traffic to locally owned companies and to encourage citizens to think local first.

Our Values

The values of Keep Edmonton Original come from partnership and the pursuit of shared values. Keep Edmonton Original exists to collectively promote the values of our members:

• We are committed to promoting responsible citizenship. This includes everything from building healthy, vibrant communities, to choosing to back local charities to supporting the sustainability of the independent business section.
• Educating all stakeholders (consumers, media, employees, etc....) on the positive impacts of small business.
