Local and independent food producers, processors and retailers are an important part of Alberta’s food system. They include: farmers, brewers, bakers, butchers, farmers markets, distributors, restaurants and independent grocery stores – to name a few.  Eating Local First strengthens our local economy by keeping the dollars you spend close to home - it sure tastes a heck of a lot better too!
